A technical feat

This futuristic project is a real technical achievement.

Composed of a very complex steel load-bearing structure whose total weight exceeds that of the Eiffel Tower, the imperious initial constraint required the construction of a large-span bridge building, whose structural efforts are not only vertical.

The project is positioned on a slab built above the railway tracks, the central part of which is not buildable, so it is the idea of a bridge building that was retained, whose arch alone required more a year of development.

With nearly 4,200 tons of metal structure, a total weight of 20,000 tons, its dimensions almost reach those of Beaubourg.

A remarkable architectural gesture

The curves of the building and its double glass skin composed of more than 20,000 pixelated glass elements, make it a unique object in the Parisian urban landscape and also offers a perfect blend of privacy, luminosity and incredible views of Paris. to its users.

The building is also characterized by its sixth facade located under the building and spanning a space open to the public: the media plaza. This concrete arch is animated by a particularly technical artistic lighting work carried out by the BOA agency.

A central location

Located in a district undergoing total renewal: Paris Rive Gauche, its openness to the district with its accessible forecourt, allows it to be an integral part of the life of the 13th arrondissement.

Its very central location at the foot of the Gare d’Austerlitz is a major asset for its occupants since it promotes the use of soft mobility with an exceptional offer of public transport, but also nearly 300 parking spaces for public bicycles sheltered in the foot of the building.
