BUILDING SUSTAINABLE LIVING WITH REDMAN
A DEVELOPER COMMITTED TO LOW-CARBON
AND INCLUSIVE CITIES

Located in the Rive Gauche district of Paris opposite Gare d’Austerlitz and at the top of Avenue Pierre Mendes France, this bridge building, designed by the architects Snohetta & SRA with a surface area of some 23,000m², accommodates the 1,700 employees working at the new Le Monde group head office since 2019. On the south pillar ground floor it has three retail outlets, and at the top of the north pillar avenue a 196-seat auditorium and lobby; on the 2nd level an inter-company restaurant seating 650; and on the 7th level two accessible planted terraces. The roof incorporates 201m² of thermal solar panels and 1,500m² of photovoltaic panels.The building is fully clad in glass with different levels of transparency and spans a space open to the public: the media plaza is covered with an illuminated concrete archway (lighting designed by BOA). The building has obtained the following environmental certifications: NF Tertiary Buildings – HQE® Approach, Offices 2011, achieving levels of EXCELLENT and EFFINERGIE+.
